Did you know – that this site was once home to a royal dwelling (Greenwich Palace) which housed 2 queens of Englandbefore being transformed into a royal hospital for seamen and thence the training college for the Royal Navy? Neither did I until the recently.
All that prior to its multiple present day usages which include being one of the most stunning university campuses in the UK, home to the Greenwich Maritime Museum, the Observatory, concert venue, film set location, cafes etc. 21st century Greenwich - a unique example of cultural, social, environmental, historical integration of the past & present.
